Perfect Game sets All-American Classic for Philadelphia in 2026
Perfect Game will stage its All-American Classic at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Aug. 16, 2026. The event, featuring the nation's top 60 high school baseball players, coincides with the United States' 250th anniversary. Perfect Game CEO Rob Ponger described the matchup as "stars, stripes and prospects."
The game starts at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday. Ponger highlighted Philadelphia's historical significance, noting the city's ties to 1776 and the symbolism of the national anthem at the stadium. "It's our PG All-American game. It's in Philly, the Liberty Bell in the background. I think it's just cool," he said.
Many past participants have reached the major leagues as first-round draft picks. Philadelphia Phillies stars Bryce Harper and Zack Wheeler took part, along with Kansas City Royals' Bobby Witt Jr., Baltimore Orioles' Gunnar Henderson and New York Mets' Francisco Lindor. Former Phillies manager Charlie Manuel, who led the team to its 2008 World Series title and holds the franchise record for most wins, serves as honorary chairman.
The weekend includes the PG All-Star Game on Aug. 14 at 11 a.m. ET and the Launch Hydrate Home Run Challenge on Aug. 15. Ponger emphasized lasting memories for players and families amid the patriotic setting. "America is the land of opportunity and dreams, right? And these kids are on that path to it," he said.
